Cappi112 | Hi. Just curious about this aspect. I have it with my SO, and we are both loyal people, so I wouldn't expect it to manifest in some kind of disloyal behavior from either of us in the long term. .. However, we have an extremely unconventional relationship. Very different cultures (no longer a barrier between us, but took about a year for us to find a way to make this work). Him being with me long term is a bit taboo in his culture. Just wondering if this would be an example of this kind of placement? |
kirki | In our composite mars squares uranous widely, but the funny thing is that our relationship has a lot in common with yours.Different cultures that create huge difficulties, long distance, even age difference,im older . |

Whoa, that is exactly us too. I'm older (not much, but enough that we joke about it). The cultures are different enough that it has pretty significantly changed my life to be with this man (and for him too). Neither of us has ever dated someone from such a different background, but it works for us. At this point it's not a deal-breaker; just something we've learned to develop our lives around. Still, so interesting the similarity here! It's also comforting, because all the doom and gloom interpretations out there seemed a little inappropriate for how the relationship is. |
kirki | Well in my case culture difference is really a problem ,and also we never had that type of relationship before either. |
Cappi112 | Hmm I'm sorry to hear that In our case, his parents did not meet me until just last month - nearly two years after he and I started dating. One of the causes of him and I breaking up in the spring was that his family disapproved and tried to arrange a marriage for him. He's repaired things with them and they were very loving towards me when I met them, but he and his brother still don't get along as a result of that falling out. So I am aware that our future is going to be a little tricky in that way - lots of family intensity. My father also does not like him because of his culture (my dad can be very prejudiced. We have fought a number of times over this). But this relationship only works because my SO and I are willing to work out the differences - it could easily be the big deal breaker. |
kirki | If your bf is indian like my bf,then i can understand fully the situation you are in.But it seems you will be just fine!! |

I was going to ask more about your situation!! My boyfriend is Pakistani - he is Muslim. But, we discussed long ago his expectations and we've come to an agreement about that. At this point, our difficulties lie more in my fathers' disapproval. But for me that's not a deal breaker, just a struggle. |
kirki | So it seems that you and your bf live in the same country, which makes things much easier.Im sure eventually your father will try to understand you. |
Cappi112 | We met in the same town but we are currently long distance. It's temporary, but not easy, to say the very least... The plan is I will probably spend a month with him soon and then hopefully move back to the same town or he'll move this way in the fall. I think. Still playing things by ear a little ofc. |

i feel you cappi! i have uranus conjunct the IC with my girlfriend in our composite and i have to be honest i think i have the worst uranian influence in my relationship because it is right on the ANGLE which is the HOME. i also have my progressed composite sun conjunct uranus in the 1st house with my friend that I'm talking to the one where we have mercury conjunct neptune and let me tell you omg i can deftness see untraditional things we do between me and him very strongly. Our connection and status is defently uranian i have to say. plus right now i have my progressed venus conjunct 5R uranus in the 3rd house so I'm defently attracting uranian relationships right now in my life and learning to adapt a uranian attitude in my love life which is 100% true. what does the progressed composite say about your relationship with your SO? ------------------ Addicted to Self Relfection - Jupiter R in the 12th House |
kirki | Yes,i went to visit him for a month too,and at the return flight i was like a wreck.Uranous squares almost every planet in our synastry, and since i only have venus trines uranous in my natal,i dont like all this uranian thing thats happening.Your story seems easier than mine, and im sure all will go well!!!! |

kirki | In my case neptune squares mercury and saturn. |
comdoc | Todd, my former fiance's 8H Vertex closely conj my Libra Neptune. We come from very different cultures and religious tradiions. Bonded like glue, she proposed marriage. Together for a glorious year. Close to ideal romantic connection overcame everything except interference from one member of her family when it came time for her to move away from her home country and extended family. quote: Originally posted by todd: are there any hard Neptune aspects?
